Lady Dolphins mercy rule Milton again, 8-0
Gulf Breeze wins 13th game of season

Go, Green, Go! Amanda Green (center) was the winner of the Courage Award at the Michelle Akers Tournament Dec. 14-15. Green, who had a heart condition last season, was given a congratulatory card and a bouquet of flowers from team captain Noelle Robles (21) and Brittany Pyle (18).
Jessica Majewski, Kristen Barona and Aubrey Curington all scored twice, while Maggie Rodgers had a goal and three assists as the Lady Dolphin soccer team blanked Milton 8-0 Dec. 19 for the second time this season.

Majewski's first goal came four minutes into the match when she put away a pass from Barona. Barona's first goal came in the 16th minute when she put away a pass from defender Brittany Pyle.

Rodgers, who had only one assist before the start of the game, set up the first of three GBHS goals in the 18th minute as Majewski scored her second goal.

Four minutes after the water break, Rodgers ripped a cross from the left side that Barona onetimed into the net for a 4-0 lead.

Natalie Blair cleaned up a Noelle Robles corner kick in the 32nd minute. Curington scored the first of her two goals in the 37th minute, when after taking a pass from Barona, ripped a shot from 25 yards out that bounced off the crossbar into the net.

Curington scored again in the first minute of the second half off a pass from Rodgers before Cayla Platt's first assist of the season found the head of Rodgers for the game's final goal in the 43rd minute.

Rodgers and Barona both have 14 goals this season, while Majewski has 13. Majewski leads the team in total points with 39.

Defender Amanda Green was honored before the game. Green won the Courage Award at the Michelle Akers Tournament the previous weekend. Green, who missed most of last season with a heart condition. was presented with a congratulatory card and a bouquet of flowers from team captains Pyle and Robles. Lady Dolphin JV 7, Milton 0

Jenna Ceravolo scored twice, while Morgan Floyd, Danielle Dobson and Heather Haney all had a goal and an assist in GBHS' win over Milton.

Camila Sharp and Jessica Watson both scored once in the win. Haney's goal was her first this season.

Breezy Paulus had the shutout in goal.
