Hunter Hickman handles the ball in a recent Dolphin game. Hickman and the Dolphins beat Washington 2-0 Dec. 19.
The Gulf Breeze Dolphin soccer team remained unbeaten in District 1-4A play with a 2-0 win over Washington Dec. 18.

The Dolphins (10-2-3) had a pair of open net chances in the first 12 minutes, but Wildcat defenders stepped in and knocked balls away. In the 16th minute, Chris Wilson scored his first goal of the season, cleaning up a Dolphin corner kick.

A minute after Washington appeared to have gotten away with a hand ball in the penalty area, the Dolphins made it 2-0 when Leland Davis put away a ball in the box that Washington failed to clear. Gulf Breeze had two shots on goal before Davis' shot on the third try went in.

Richard Benson played the first 60 minutes in goal, while Tyler Willets played the final 20.

Josh Pagonis had to be helped off the pitch in the first half with an injury, but he came back to play in the second half.
