GBSA basketball season underway The 2007-08 GBSA basketball season got underway Dec 7-8 with a total of 40 teams competing in eight different age groups. 7-8 boys Grace 12, Dalton 4: Tyler Dittmer, Steele Chambers and Brent Williams all had four points for Grace. Jacob Brandon and Logan Turner had two points for Dalton. Hawkins 12, Laffel 11: Nicholas Myers had 10 points for Hawkins, while Matthew Hawkins had two. Alec Grimes had six points for Laffel, while Bo Fabbro had five. Sheppard 18, Stringfellow 10: Cole Sheppard had 10 points for Sheppard, while Casey Warford had six and Connor Thompson two. Tristan Diamond had eight points for Diamond, while Luke Stringfellow had two. 7-8 girls Karcher 21, Taylor 5: Alyssa Scott had 13 points for Karcher, while Jill Marrs had four and Samantha Karcher and Olivia Spann had two each. Makenna Faircloth and Jordan Taylor both had two points for Taylor, while Ansley Segal had one. Curington 16, Hepworth 6: Macy Hicks had 12 points for Curington, while Avery Curington had four. Blair Amberson, Olivia Hepworth and Liesel Schroeder had two each for Hepworth. 9-10 boys Mungai 24, Proctor 20: Brai Royer-Blissit had 10 points for Mungai, while Jace Mungai had six, Logan Smith four and Owen Hayes and Hans Schroeder two each. Bradley Proctor had 10 points for Proctor, while Reid Folland had six and Sam Joyce and Clay Moss two each. Argentine 14, Barham 11: Joshua Argentine had 11 points for Argentine, while Zachary Argentine had three. Blake Fournie had eight points for Barham, while Christopher Cody had two and Bryce Johnson one. Mungai 16, Crowdis 14: Jace Mungai and Brai Boyer- Blissit had six each for Mungai, while Hans Schroeder and Logan Smith had two each. Corey Nolan, Tyler Phelps and Riley Nolan had four for Crowdis, while Ryan Walter had two. 9-10 girls Radcliffe 16, Rockett 3: Emily Radcliffe had 10 points for Radcliffe, while Kylie Finkbone, Michelle Barrineau and Brie Perdue had two each. Caitlyn Gill had two points for Rockett, while Aubree Stillman had one. Crowdis 18, Clark 12: Kathryn Hess had six points for Crowdis, while Savannah Nixon had four and Claudia Manderson, Frances Williams and Katlin Preziozo had two each. Alexa Clark had six points for Clark, while Paige Van Tassel had four and Victoria Hardman two. 11-12 boys Hayes 22, Flake 16: Pete Hayes had 12 points for Hayes, while Curtiss Thies, Connor Harris, Nathan Theorgood, Connor Bray and Hanson Theis had two each. Joe Lennon and Beau Bennett had six each for Flake, while Danny Gill and Mac Pewitt had two each. Hoskins 18, Mink 5: Drew Holk had 10 points for Hoskins, while Ben Hoskins had six and Bryce St. Ores two. Austin Poling and Austin Faircloth had two each for Mink, while Nick Kozbiel had one. Hayes 25, Newell 14: Nathan Theorgood had eight points for Hayes, while Curtiss Thies had five, Ashley Williams and Connor Bray three each, and Connor Harris, Pete Hayes and Hanson Theis two each. Tyler Olsen had eight points for Newell, while Austin Garrett, Blake Myers and Jack Costello had two each. 11-14 girls Welsh 28, Munsch 9: Samantha Welsh had 11 points for Welsh, while Sarah Tolan had seven, Natalie Welsh six and Grace Mallett four. Katrina Espenscheid, Aspen Lee, Brooke Reynolds and Katie Munsch all had two for Munsch, while Natalia Moreno had one. Riney 17, Brown 11: Bailey Clements had nine points for Riney, while Torie Gray had three, Alexandra Karcher two and Laura Riney, Caroline Shell and Jessica Bryant had one each. Annemarie Schultz had five for Brown, while Mary Kate Campbell had four and Richelle Czeck two. Munsch 18, Newell 15: Katrina Espenscheid had six points for Munsch, while Peyton Blocker and Katie Munsch had three each and Rebecca Hyde, Jill Bunze and Lizzie Fairleigh had two each. Katie Bowyer had 10 points for Newell, while Cate Hodges and Bailey Trzcinski had two each and Elizabeth Hoehn one. 13-14 boys Castleberry 41, Byrne 32: Reid Torgerson had 14 points for Castleberry, while Allen Wang had 13, James Mozur six, Patrick Roane four and William Farmer and Bobby Radcliffe two each. Taylor Webb had 11 points for Byrne, while Hunter Byrne had seven, Colin Brewer and Chase Perdue four each, and Alex Pagonis, Samuel Hartman and Reno Routh two each. Kuhn 30, Custred 26: Luke Cunningham had 13 for Kuhn, while Nick Romjue had nine, Cooper Stock four and Jacob Doyle and Trevor Johnson had two each. Harrison Rhodes had 10 points for Custred, while Chance Wallis had eight and Alec Chavis and Christopher Kessler four each. |
