Deadline to register to vote is Dec. 31
Primary is Jan. 29

Escambia County Supervisor of Elections David H. Stafford reminds voters that Dec. 31 is the last day to register to vote for those who wish to cast a ballot in the Jan. 29, 2008 Presidential Preference Primary election, which includes the Constitutional Amendment on property tax reform.

New registrations and party changes must be completed on or before Dec. 31 to be effective for the January 29, 2008 election. Updates to a voter's address, name, and signature are permitted after the book closing deadline. All registered voters have been mailed a new Voter Information Card within the last few months. Any voter who did not receive their new card should contact the Elections Office immediately at 595-3900.
