Local artist makes journal cover In his former real life, Dr. Morris Eaddy was well known along the Gulf Coast as the president and CEO of the Lakeview Center, a large behavioral healthcare program. Now retired, he was honored in a very special way. His painting, "Celebration" was selected to be on the November 2007 cover of American Psychologist, a widely read esteemed journal of the American Psychological Association. Now he is a fullfledged artist--teaching, painting and sharing with other artists at Quayside Art Gallery and Blue Morning Gallery. This special painting is filled with abstract shapes and many colors; but the center of interest has a small grouping of people, some holding hands, and they seem to be having a joyous time. |
