Chavers takes third at Capitol City Classic
. Dolphins finish 18th in 28-team tournament

Jesse Parsons wrestles in a recent match. Parsons was 2-2 in the 215-pound weight class at last weekend's Capitol City Classic in Tallahassee.

Dolphin senior Kyle Chavers went 6-1 in the 160-pound weight class at the Capitol City Classic last weekend at Florida State University.

Of his seven matches, four of them went the distance (he won all four). His lone loss was a pin in the third period.

The following is a breakdown of how all Dolphin wrestlers fared:

Holden Tibbs (103 lbs.)

1) was pinned by Moody (Chiles) at 2:25; 2) lost by decision to Santiago (Bishop Moore), 1-18.

Jack Hoehn (112 lbs.)

1) was pinned by Keith (Forest Hills); 2) won by decision over Fay (Bishop Moore) 12-7; 3) Was pinned by Velez (Rutherford) at 0:33.

Chris Gary (119 lbs.)

1) was pinned by Dicks (Columbia) at 4:45; 2) was pinned by McShane (Gainesville) at 0:50.

Rhett Ellis (125 lbs.)

1) was pinned by Tomiseed (Arnold) at 0:45; 2) lost by decision by Guiterez (Godby), 5-15.

Steven Houser (130 lbs.)

1) pinned Keiser (Godby) at 1:21; 2) was pinned by Uberti (Pace) at 0:52; 3) was pinned by Lewis (Lincoln) at 0:47.

George Weisnicht (135 lbs.)

1) pinned Hanna (Middleburg) at 5:05; 2) was pinned by Fletcher (Godby) at 2:56; 3) was pinned by Matlaga (Fort Walton Beach) at 0:46.

Brandon Buchalter (140 lbs.)

1) was pinned by Wilson (Gainesville) at 0:50; 2) was pinned by Steichen (Middleburg) at 1:23.

Kyle McKissack (145 lbs.)

1) pinned Clark (Vanguard) at 0:43; 2) was pinned by Holcy (Palatka) 5:52; 3) was pinned By Wexler (Forest Hills) at 1:47.

Scott Behrens (152 lbs.)
