Gulf Coast Youth Basketball registration underway

Youth Select Basketball Team and Player Registration for ages 8-14 for 2008 Gulf Coast Youth Pro Basketball (GCYPB) Season is now open.

Basketball try-outs for players are scheduled for December 8-9 at 2 pm, at Wm J. Woodham Middle School.

Season consist of Jamboree, eight game season, play-offs and tournaments. Coaches are needed.

GCYPB is a fast pace high level competition youth basketball program. Team registration is $350. Call (850) 554-7758 for registration and information or go to: www.gulfcoastyouthprobasketball. com. Bayside Winter Academy workshop underway

The Bayside Soccer Club will hold a Ballhandling workshop will start on Wednesdays, starting Nov. 28, and will run through Dec. 19.

Cost is $40 per camper and checks can be made payable to Bayside Soccer Club, PO Box 363, Gulf Breeze, FL32561.

GBHS Student Council 5K Run/Walk Jan. 19

Gulf Breeze High School Student Council presents the Kids for Camp 5K Run/Walk January 19 at 8 a.m.

The race will start at the GBHS Stadium. Early registration is $17 including shirt, $25 day of race. Packet pickup is Jan. 18 from 2:30-5:30 in the cafeteria. Parking is available at the stadium and St. Ann Catholic Church.

Kids for Camp is a five-yearold program providing autistic children a place to experience a normal summer vacation. Camp activities include swimming, attending IMAX movies, visiting the zoo and learning exercise.

GBHS Soccer Boosters to host inaugural Polar Bear Golf Tourney, Fish Fry Jan. 11

The GBHS Soccer Booster Club will hold its first annual Polar Bear Golf Tournament and Fish Fry Jan. 11 at Tiger Point Golf and Country Club.

Cost is $100 per person and will feature a four person scramble. Golfers will tee off at noon. For more information, call either Bill Sperry (916-1856) or Dennis Malloy (934-2892).
