BETTY LOUISE FENTERS 1924-2007

Betty Fenters, 83, of Gulf Breeze passed away at Gulf Breeze Hospital after a valiant battle with cancer on Nov.27, 2007.

She was born in South Bend, Indiana on Jan. 24, 1924 to Samuel and Estelle Hufford and had resided in Gulf Breeze since 1959.

Betty worked for many years as a book keeper in the automotive repair business and enjoyed her retired life by working in her beautiful yard and crocheting. Her best enjoyment was sharing and giving her art of crocheted Christmas Angels to her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Dorothy and Gertrude.

She is survived by her husband of almost 65 years, Gilbert Fenters; two sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews and many close friends.

Visitation was Sunday, Dec. 2, from 5-7 p.m. at Rose lawn Funeral Home in Gulf Breeze.

Funeral services, conducted by Stephen Olivier, were held at Rose lawn on Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. with burial in Barrancas National Cemetery at 1:15 p.m.

Pallbearers were Paul Villane Sr., David Villane, Paul Villane Jr., Bucky Stringfellow, Mike Sherry, and Wade Jeffrey

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to the American Cancer Society in Betty's memory.
