PJC hosts free AIDS testing, seminar

The Pensacola Junior College Bioethics Committee invites the community to view webcasts of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute 2007 Holiday Lecture on Science, "AIDS: Evolution of an Epidemic."

AIDS researchers Dr. Bruce Walker and Dr. Bisola Ojikutu are presenting lectures via simultaneous live webcasts 9 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, and Friday, Dec. 7, on all three PJC campuses.

Locations are: Pensacola campus, Jean and Paul Amos Performance Studio, Building 23; Warrington campus, Building 3700, room 3735; and Milton campus, Building 4900, room 4902.

The Escambia County Health Department is providing free AIDS testing and counseling to the first 12 people who visit the mobile testing site 9 a.m. to noon Friday, Dec. 7, on the Milton campus, Building 4300, rooms 4301 and 4302. Cancer support group to meet

Cancer patients, cancer survivors, their families and friends are invited to the next meeting of the Cancer Support Group at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. The meeting will be held Tuesday, Dec. 11, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the main hospital's Oncology Unit Library on the second floor.
