Gulf Coast Youth Basketball registration underway

Youth Select Basketball Team and Player Registration for ages 8-14 for 2008 Gulf Coast Youth Pro Basketball (GCYPB) Season is now open.

Basketball try-outs for players are scheduled for December 8 & 9, 2007 at 2 pm, at Wm J. Woodham Middle School.

Season consist of Jamboree, eight game season, play-offs and tournaments. Coaches are needed.

Bayside Winter Academy workshop underway

The Bayside Soccer Club will hold a Ballhandling workshop will start on Wednesdays, starting Nov. 28, and will run through Dec. 19.

Cost is $40 per camper and checks can be made payable to Bayside Soccer Club, PO Box 363, Gulf Breeze, FL32561.

Pensacola Beach Volleyball Club tryouts Saturday

The Pensacola Beach Volleyball Club will hold tryouts on Saturday December 1 in the Gulf Breeze High School Gym.

The 12, 13 and 14-under teams will try out from 9:30 a.m.-noon, while the 15, 16 and 17-under teams will be from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. A makeup date is Dec. 3 from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church.

FSU lacrosse clinic Dec. 8 at Rec Center

The Rec Center will sponsor a lacrosse clinic Dec. 8 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. for boys ages 9-14.

Cost is $55 per player and includes a t-shirt. Players must have helmets, stick, gloves and cleats. Walk ons are also welcome. Coaches and players from Florida State will work with campers on basic skills, as well as the fundamental knowledge of the game.
