Lady Dolphins play Nease to 0-0 tie

      The Gulf Breeze Lady Dolphin soccer team bounced back from a loss to St. John's Country Day to play St. Augustine Nease to a 0-0 tie Nov. 17 in Tallahassee. Nease has won three of the last five 4A state championships, the first of which came against Gulf Breeze in 2002.

Tiger Point celebrates progress
      The administration of Tiger Point Golf Club had a progress party to show members and the public the renovations and additions to the club house, which has been closed since Hurricane Ivan damaged it in 2004. About 60 people attended the party, which was November 3.

Lady Dolphins lose at Tate

      Tate went on an 8-0 run over the final four minutes of the game to beat Gulf Breeze 51-42 Nov. 19 in Pensacola. The Lady Dolphins (0-2), who commited only four turnovers in the first three quarters, had six in the final eight minutes to allow Tate to pull away.

'97 Dolphin soccer team roars out of starting blocks

      The 1997 Dolphin soccer team got off to a strong start this week, scoring 21 goals in three matches, all wins. Ale Almeida, Beto Bressiani and Edegard Borges all scored goals in a 3-1 season opening win over Bay. Andrew Peck made four saves.

      Courtney Brown (GBHS c/o '06) competed in her first swim meet for Auburn University on Nov. 16, finishing fifth in the 1 meter diving category with a score of 148.71 points. Auburn beat Alabama 144-97 in the Nov. 16 meet.
