Emerald Coast Bead Society opens annual show The Emerald Coast Bead Society presents their annual Holiday Show Dec. 1, at The Wright Place, 80 East Wright Street. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and admission is free. Items to be featured are glass, lamp work and dichotic beads, findings, finished jewelry, batik clothing and articles, macramé items, wire-wrapped jewelry, soft-sculpture dolls, purses, decorated gourds, pottery, paintings and other artwork all made by the members of the Emerald Coast Bead Society. Pam Wynn will have handpainted Christmas ornaments for sale and also some of the beads that have brought her recognition all over the United States. Meredith Hartsfield, who does lampwork glass bead making, will have custom made Christmas beads. Check out the excellent variety of beads and gifts available for your selection. Pensacola Pelicans host Santa The Pensacola Pelicans willl offer Santa and Scoop holiday pictures at Pelicans Training Academy in Pensacola on Saturday, Dec. 2 from 1 p.m. 3 p.m. Everyone, including dogs, is invited to get their free picture taken with Santa and Scoop in a beach themed setting at the team's training facility located at 4920 North Davis Highway. Fans are welcome to bring their own camera and snap as many photos as they wish, or the Pelicans photographer will provide them with a link to print their free holiday photo. Dinner theater in Okaloosa The acting troupe Act4Murder presents "Murder Under the Mistletoe on Dec. 5 at the French Quarter Grill, located at 714 Howell Road in Niceville, and Dec. 13 at Floyd's Shrimp House on Okaloosa Island. Find out what happens during this wildly performed holiday party filled with holiday songs, door prizes and a visit from someone very special in a red Santa suit. Doors open at both locations at 6:15 p.m. with the dinner and show beginning at 7. Cost per person is $50 at the French Quarter Grill, and $40 at Floyd's, and includes the show, 3- course meal, tax and gratuity.
