The Baptist Health Care Foundation recently held its annual meeting at the Pensacola Yacht Club to celebrate donors and recognize the past year's achievements. Five individuals were recognized for serving as role models dedicated to building a healthy community. The 2007 Hollinger Award winners are Drs. Jim and Nell Potter, Physicians of the Year; F.E. and Dottie Booker, Volunteers of the Year; and Morris L. Eaddy, Ph.D., Lifetime Achievement.

The inaugural Chris Carr Memorial Award was presented to Lynda Barrett, director, Baptist Health Care strategic planning, and Craig Granger, creative director, and Kay Fogos, production manager, Baptist Health Care Marketing Communications. The three were recognized for their dedication and exemplary service to the Baptist Health Care Foundation.

A philanthropist is known for giving significant contributions of time and finances to improve quality of life. The Doctors of Philanthropy award was created to recognize individuals possessing these attributes and whose skill, talent and charity benefit the Pensacola community. Recipients of the Doctor of Philanthropy Class of 2007 are Ted and Natalie Ciano, Bill and Ann Hunt, Jane Kugelman, Luther and Kathy Taylor and Neal and Lianna Nash.
