Road improvements
BY PAM BRANNON Gulf Breeze News news@gulfbreezenews.com

Some south end roads in the county will be getting a facelift soon, and a couple red roads will be paved. Santa Rosa County Commissioners have voted to spend $271,608 on resurfacing 12 already paved roads from Gulf Breeze to Navarre, and another $32,436 on paving two red clay roads for the first time.

Roads to get resurfaced are: Lamb Drive, Cathleen Drive, Holiday Drive, Osprey, Duke Drive, Redwood Lane, Kalakawa Court, Maplewood Drive, Elks Way, Laredo Street between Esplanada to Granada, Sunrise from Hwy. 98 to Sunrise Drive, and Navarre High School Boulevard., just east of Ortega to just west of Ashwood Way.

The two newly paved roads will be Thunder Bolt Street, and Nevada Street, from Salamanca Street in Navarre to Andorra Street.

Bayshore Road will be closed from Nov. 27 through Dec. 11 for safety upgrades and the addition of a right turn lane. Motorists are asked to use the detour through Grand Pointe subdivision on Mary Kate Drive and Kelton Boulevard. Message boards are in place both east and west bound on Hwy. 98 and on Bayshore Road.
