The Dolphin soccer program has gotten off to a stingy start to open the 2007 season, not allowing a single goal in 448 minutes of action last week.
Dolphins 1,Washington 0
Brad Parrish's header in the 50th minute was the difference as Gulf Breeze won its season opener Nov. 6 at Washington.
Chris Wilson, guarded by two Washington players, launched a high arching cross from the left side that Parrish headed down and into the net. Gulf Breeze missed a penalty kick a few minutes later and had to withstand a barrage of shots from the Wildcats in the final 10 minutes to hold on.
Richard Benson had nine saves in the win for the Dolphins, who had 18 shots.
Dolphins 8, Milton 0
(50 minutes)
Seven different Dolphins scored goals in Milton Thursday, led by Parrish's two goals and two assists.
Josh Pagonis, Leland Davis, Stuart Parks and Tommy Gibble both had a goal and an assist.
Nick Malloy and Austin Santiago both scored once between the first half water break and the end of the half, which ended with the Dolphins up 6-0.
Thomas Farmer set up Parks' goal, which made it 4-0 by the first half water break. Jeff Lanza set up Santiago's goal, which made it 6-0. Benson had four saves for the Dolphins, who finished with 22 shots.
Dolphins 1, Catholic 0
Malloy's goal in the 63rd minute was the difference as the Dolphins fought off a pesky Catholic side to win Saturday.
The Crusaders, who have several Bayside players on their team, had a couple of shots on Benson in the first five minutes. The Dolphins' best scoring chance in the first half came in the 28th minute when Jack Begley headed a Parks corner kick wide of the near post.
The Dolphins stepped up their game in the second half, getting shots from Thomas Farmer and Jeff Lanza in the first 10 minutes. A pass from Farmer up to Jesse Ortiz was broken up in the 53rd minute before Malloy scored the game-winner.
The Crusaders didn't get a quality shot on Benson from that point on.

Eric Mayfield, Doug Overlade, Blake Trotter, Steven Vernali and Billy McCormick all scored goals as Gulf Breeze blanked Washington.
Max Gerke, Nick Green, Danny Gibble and Cody Sholty each had assists in the win. Hayes Sperry didn't make a save in the first half, while Alex Crush had two in the second half.
