Dolphin Winter Baseball Camp Nov. 18-19

The Gulf Breeze Dolphin baseball program will hold its annual winter camp Nov. 18-19 from 8:30 a.m.-noon at the GBHS Baseball Field.

Registration forms can be picked up and dropped off at either GBHS (attn. Coach Kohr), GBMS (attn. Coach Renfroe), OBES (attn. Coach Brown) or at the Rec Center.

Bayside Academy training underway

The Bayside Soccer Club will hold Academy Training for all interested soccer players from ages 6-13, starting this week.

Afree introductory training session will be available for players ages 10-12 from 6-8 p.m. A Ballhandling workshop will start on Wednesdays, starting Nov. 28, and will run through Dec. 19.

Cost is $40 per camper and checks can be made payable to Bayside Soccer Club, PO Box 363, Gulf Breeze, FL32561.

Pensacola Beach Volleyball Club tryouts start Dec. 1

The Pensacola Beach Volleyball Club will hold tryouts on Saturday December 1 in the Gulf Breeze High School Gym.

The 12, 13 and 14-under teams will try out from 9:30 a.m.-noon, while the 15, 16 and 17-under teams will be from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.

FSU lacrosse clinic Dec. 8 at Rec Center

The Rec Center will sponsor a lacrosse clinic Dec. 8 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. for boys ages 9-14.

Cost is $55 per player and includes a t-shirt. Players must have helmets, stick, gloves and cleats. Walk ons are also welcome. Coaches and players from Florida State will work with campers on basic skills, as well as the fundamental knowledge of the game.

U13 baseball team seeking sponsors

The Gulf Breeze Slammers, a U13 travel baseball team, is seeking sponsors for the 2008 season.

Sponsors for the Slammers, coached by George Scarborough, Jon Burkett and Tim Wise, can help defray costs for uniforms, equipment, team insurance and tournament entry fees.
