Dolphins' Defense deserves credit
As a parent of a defensive lineman, along with several other parents who have sons who play defense on our Dolphin team - we would like to see some kudos go out to our Dolphin Defense! Every article mentions offensive plays; passes attempted - completed or not, how many yards rushing, but our defense doesn't get its worth in coverage. Our Dolphin defense played an incredible season this year! Many times our defense held the opposing team on the line preventing them from scoring yet another TD.

Our D-Line worked hard and played hard and it is frustrating as a parent to see how hard they play and want it (the win) - and get no mentions, no "good job" defensive line. Most of our games this year were a total defensive game - with more playing time than our offense. I won't say we didn't let some get by us, but the defensive line doesn't put points on the board for us - they do their best to keep the opposing team from putting points on the board, and we played against some of the best teams around here and our defense did their job.

I would just like to see more reporting of stats for our D-Line; from tackles, interceptions, to blocks, etc. Give them the credit they deserve! When our juniors, both offensive and defensive, move up next year - they will be a Dolphin team to be reckoned with! It's been a tough season, but every team has growing pains and next year we will have grown and be ready to come back stronger and better!
