SUSAN R. BALDWIN
She was born Feb. 11, 1958 in Newark, N.J. and graduated from Raritan High School, Hazlet, N.The first her family graduate college, Susan held degrees in social work from Rutger University and Registered Nursing from the University of Miami-Key West. Following a move with her husband and son from Jacksonville to Gulf Breeze, she became involved with her community through volunteering with the Children's Place Preschool and Oriole Beach Elementary School and was serving as a board member of the Tiger Point Village Homeowners Association. She was a concerned and hospitable neighbor, an incredible wife and mother and was a familiar face to all children who played in her yard or with her son at Tiger Point Park. She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Cansor. Surviving are her husband, David and son, Benjamin, her mother Elaine Cansor of Ventura, Calif. and brother Mike Mancinelli of Simi Valley, Calif., mother in law Mary Alice Baldwin of Tulsa, Okla., father in law Don Baldwin of Lawson, Okla., along with a host of other family and friends from across the country as well as very dear local friends who stood by her throughout her illness and who have been and continue to be invaluable in helping the family through these difficult times. An open memorial service will held at St. Ann Catholic Church today, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. with Msgr. Luke Hunt and the Rev. Justin Baldwin presiding. The family would like to thank everyone for all the thoughts and prayers, calls and cards during Susan's illness. They would also like to thank the wonderful people at Covenant Hospice, the Sacred Heart Radiation/Oncology Department, Sacred Heart Interventional Radiology and the staff of Dr. Sunnenberg's office, the Sacred Heart Infusion Center as well as the many friends and "family" from Sacred Heart ER. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations in her name be made to the Zoo of Northwest Florida, the Ann Baroco Center for Breast Health at Sacred Heart Hospital or Covenant Hospice. Arrangements are being handled by Rose Lawn Funeral Home. |
