Visionaries make GB special
Inventors and entrepreneurs identify problems (opportunities!) that others overlook and then come up with solutions. These individuals are fascinating and fun to work with and there are many visionaries in our community. To name a few: Meg Peltier, President/CEO of the Gulf Breeze Chamber of Commerce, leads a group of business people fueled by the vision of improving the community in which we live and work. The Gulf Breeze Optimists, Marguerite Burr, Tom Naile and all, work tirelessly to achieve their vision of helping every child they can. Among many other things, they present the "Choices" program, which shares a vision of personal responsibility, to every eighth grader every year. Rob Engel, Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 417 at St. Ann Catholic Church, works every day to make sure the boys in his charge learn personal integrity and self sufficiency. Scout Master Engel also makes sure they get plenty of chances to learn about and appreciate the vision of this world in the great outdoors and away from electronic diversions. The Love for Peru Foundation, run by Mr. and Mrs. Salimano in association with the Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church and the Rotary Club, shares its vision of "Una Para Todo y Todo Para Una" (One for All and All for One) with the most wonderful people in the poorest area of Lima, Peru with any person in our community who wants to make a difference in someone else's life. Visit their website www.loveforperu. com and see for yourself! You have to love the Gulf Breeze News, published by Lisa Newell and Vici Papajohn, for their vision of a truly local newspaper and for all those visions of our kids that they print! |
