DEBBIE FESSENDEN "MAW-MAW" 1948-2007 Debbie Fessenden, 59, went into the loving arms of the Lord, Wednesday, October 31, 2007 after complications from surgery. She was born to John and Mae Shaffer in Climer, Penn. on June 21, 1948. Debbie had been a longtime resident of Pensacola. Survivors include her children, Allen, Angie, Patty, Tim, Amber, and Casie; grandchildren, Katie, Matt, Bekah, Joey, Caelen, and Avery; God-daughter, Ashley, siblings; Bill, Butch, Barbara, and Toni; and best friends, Ralph and Vilia. Considering herself a waitress and not a salesperson, Debbie serviced the communities of both Pensacola and Gulf Breeze as a 25-plus year employee for Waffle House, Inc. Her family would like to honor her Waffle House friends and "family" from Unit #158, Gulf Breeze in the past 20 years as well as extend it out to Units #252 and # 147 both of Pensacola. We know she will be deeply cherished. Her family would also like to extend a personal "thank you" to Dr. Bill Wilson for hugging mom's fears away. He was more than just a doctor in her heart and ours. Funeral services were conducted 3:30 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2007 in the Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home with the Reverend Jerry Ireland officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Peace in the Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens Cemetery. EASTERN GATE MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Charity Chapel Church, 5820 Montgomery Ave, Pensacola, FL32526 in care of Angela Taylor. |
