Bishop Ricard to bless St. Sylvester addition

Bishop John H. Ricard, SSJ, will bless the new education multi-purpose building of St. Sylvester Catholic Church on Saturday, November 4 at 11 a.m.

This newest addition to St. Sylvester contains classrooms, meeting rooms and a multifaceted media center.

Father John Kelly, pastor, will bless and dedicate the building after each Mass that weekend and then have the building open for parishioners and visitors to walk through and see.

The entire construction project will cost approximately $6.5 million and will include a new 1200 seat church which is expected to be completed in early 2008. The current parish center will be used for offices and other church and community functions.

St. Sylvester Parish was created in 1976 and has now grown to over 1000 families.
