TP Mini Mites still playoff bound despite loss to Ensley
Several local teams still have shot at playoffs

The Tiger Point Mini Mites led the unbeaten Ensley Blue Chiefs for two and a half quarters before the home team scored three touchdowns for a 20-6 win Saturday.

Nicky Myers scored on a 32-yard run with 5:46 left in the second period. But from there, Ensley scored on a nine-yard run with 4:30 left in the third and on a 34-yard run with 19.3 seconds left in the third.

The Chiefs added another score with 3:21 left in the game.

Dustin Rogers and Keegan Luchsinger recovered fumbles for the Tigers, who are one of 10 teams with at least five wins (5-2).

Eight other teams are battling for the final four slots, including Gulf Breeze White (4-4), who play the 7-0 Ensley Blue Chiefs Saturday.

Gulf Breeze Blue, at 3-4, play 5-2 Ensley Gold. Other games of note include Albritton and Gant (3-4) at Pace Red (5-2), Bellview Green (4-3) at home at Myrtle Grove White (1-6), Cantonment White (3-4) at Brewton (3-4) and Bellview Gold (3-4) at home against Milton Black (2-5).

Tiger Point plays at Pace Blue in a battle of 5- 2 teams.

Midgets

Ensley Blue 16, Tiger Point 7: The Chiefs scored on a six-yard run with 1:04 left in the game to put away the Tigers.

Ensley led 8-0 after a 77-yard touchdown run and two-point kick with three minutes left in the first half. Mitchell Robbins scored from a yard out with 6:33 left in the game and Chandler Foxworth, after fielding a low snap, ran it in for one point to pull the Tigers within one.

Ensley Blue improved to 3-4 with the win, while the Tigers fell to 3-4.

Nine teams have at least five wins, including Gulf Breeze Blue. Three have four wins, while Tiger Point and Gulf Breeze White are two of five teams at 3-4.

Games of note on Saturday include A&G (4-3) at Pace Red (3-4), Milton Gold (2-5) at Myrtle Grove Green (4-3), East Milton (1-6) at Navarre Maroon (3-4) and Tiger Point (3-4) at Pace Blue (4-3).

Gulf Breeze Blue can win its division with a win over unbeaten Ensley Gold (7-0) Saturday.

Mighty Mites

Five teams have five wins, while five others are battling for the final three spots.

Gulf Breeze (4-3), whose in that five-team mix, play at 1-6 Ensley Gold Saturday. Other games of note include A&G (3-4) at Pace Red (3-4) Milton Gold (0-7) at Myrtle Grove Green (4-3) and Myrtle Grove White (5-2) at Bellview Green (3-4).

Mites

Only Gulf Breeze White (4-3) is still alive among local teams. Gulf Breeze Blue (1-6) and Tiger Point (1-6) have both been mathematically eliminated.

Nine teams have at least five wins, while eight others are battling for the final five spots.

Other games of note include: A&G (3-4) at Pace Red (0-7), Myrtle Grove White (3-4) at Bellview Green (3-4) and Milton Black (4-3) at Bellview Gold (1-6).

Juniors

Gulf Breeze, at 3-4, faces a must win Saturday at Ensley (3-4).

Four teams have five wins, with six others battling for the final three spots.

Other games of note include: Milton Gold (4-3) at Myrtle Grove Green (1-6), Navarre Silver (5-2) at Brent Blue (3-4) and Myrtle Grove White (4-3) and Bellview Green (4-3).
