McKie, Bears rally to beat Eagles
Savage, Lake lead respective teams to wins

Jason McKie (GBHS c/o '98) came within a yard of his first touchdown in three years in the Chicago Bears' 19-16 come from behind win over the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday.

McKie caught a two-yard pass from Brian Griese and looked to be headed to paydirt, but was stopped by Philadelphia's Omar Gaither at the one yard line. The Bears would eventually settle for a field goal on that drive that cut the Eagles' lead to 9-6. McKiewho spends most of his time blocking for Cedric Benson and pass blocking for recently named starter Griese, has two carries for five yards and five catches for 11 yards for the 3-4 Bears.

Keith Savage (c/o '03) scored two goals as UWF won its school-record 14th consecutive match, 6-0 over Spring Hill College Friday at UWF.

The Argos, ranked third in the country, have won 14 straight since losing their season opener.

The goals were Savage's 12th and 13th of the season.

Mackensie Jimison (c/o '04) led the Spring Hill women's golf team to a 13th place finish at the Stonebridge Women's Invitational Oct. 16 in Rome, Ga.

Jimison shot a 171 in the two-day tournament where Spring Hill finished with a team score of 698. Jimison was 49th out of 105 participants.

She shot a two-day score of 170 in Spring Hill's first match of the season, the Bubba Watson Invitational Sept. 17-18. SHC was seven in that meet.

Fellow Spring Hill College s t u d e nMa Crooke (c/o '07) played in her second match of the season on Oct. 9, a 3-1 loss at Loyola University.

Tyler Lake (c/o '03) scored two second half touchdowns as Rhodes pulled out a win in the closing moments for the second straight week, 26-22 over Austin College.

Lake, who had 25 yards rushing and caught a 40 yard pass, scored a 10-yard touchdown with 11:39 left in the third quarter and a fouryard touchdown with 3:21 left in the game.

Doug Baldwin (c/o '07) caught an 11-yard pass on Stanford's game-winning drive in the fourth quarter Saturday over Arizona. The Cardinal beat Arizona 21-20.

Corie Skislak (c/o '04) had five kills, while sister Caitlin (c/o '06) had two digs in Mount Olive's 3-1 loss to Limestone College Friday before Corie had eight kills and two blocks in a 3-0 win over Belmont Abbey Saturday.

Jimison
Mount Olive, who lead Conference Carolinas in hitting percentage, kills and blocks, is 14-12 on the season. The older Skislak is 10th in the conference in hitting percentage (.256).

Jamie Hayes (c/o '06) had 45 had 45 assists and 10 digs in S t . Andrews five-set win over Queens College Oct. 15 before recording 41 assists and eight digs in a 3-1 loss to Coker College the next day.

St. Andrews is 10-18 on the season. Hayes is fourth in Conference Carolinas in assists per game (9.53) and is second in total assists (877).

Chelsey Adams (c/o '05) had a kill and a dig in Nicholls State's 3-0 loss to Stephen F. Austin Friday before recording three kills in Nicholls' 3-0 loss to Sam Houston State Saturday.

Nicholls State is 8-17 on the season.

Jimmy Holway (c/o '05) was second in 50 yard freestyle (21.62) for Florida State Friday in a three-team meet with Miami and Florida A&M.

Jessie Carr (c/o '06) was sixth in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:09.90) and the 200 yard breaststroke (2:30.85) for the FSU women's team.
