Harvest Festival returns to GB rec center
FROM STAFF REPORTS Gulf Breeze News news@gulfbreezenews.com

It's Harvest Festival time again. Each year, as the season begins to change from hot summer days to cooler fall ones, Calvary Chapel Gulf Breeze takes the opportunity to gather families together to celebrate God's love. This year Calvary Chapel is again taking the Harvest Festival out into the community to give Gulf Breeze an alternative to Halloween, while sharing the love and joy of Jesus Christ. The event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27t from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Gulf Breeze Recreation Center on Shoreline Drive.

The Harvest Festival is free and fun for all ages with separate areas for youth and kids. The kids' area will be filled with carnival like games, popcorn, cotton candy, big toys and more. The youth area will have extreme games including oversized boxing, gladiator jousting, rock climbing, a skate park hosted by Calvary Boardriders and a skate demo by the Today Skate pro's and more

A skate contest, also held at the park, will have divisions for ages 5 and up. Skateboarding will not be the only way to put your skills to the test, there will also be a long shot basketball tournament with divisions for ages 5 and up and a doubles tennis tournament with divisions for ages 12 and up. In addition to the tournaments and all the fun, there will also be lots of food and live music from Calvary Chapel's own Worship Teams.

Concession sales will support youth and family missions. This is sure to be a great afternoon for the Gulf Breeze community and families.

Those interested in participating in the skate contest, basketball or tennis tournaments sponsorship opportunities for this event should contact Pastor Dale Waltman through the Calvary Chapel church office at 850-932- 8197 or by e-mail at dalewaltman@ ccgulfbreeze.com.
