Tiger Point Mites celebrate first win
Bixler runs for 254 yards three TDs for TP Mites; Dittmer for 225 yards, five TDs for GBSA White Mini Mites

Player's Tiger Point Mites won their first game of the season, 28-14 over Navarre Maroon during Homecoming Saturday at Dolphin Stadium.

And with it, keeping a promise to his team, allowed his players to shave his head in celebration of the win.

Tom Bixler led the way with 254 yards rushing, scoring three of the team's four touchdowns.

His first score came two plays into the game on a 58-yard run. Bixler added the PAT to make it 7-0 with 6:24 left in the opening quarter.

The Raiders pulled within a point on a two-yard run with 5:20 left in the first half.

Bixler's 32-yard run set up a fiveyard run by Dalton Kramer with 3:50 left in the first half. Kramer added the kick to make it 15-6.

The Raiders pulled within a point with 38.7 seconds left in the third quarter before Bixler scored from 46 yards out with 7:12 left in the game.

Zach Arner made a fourth down stop late in the game that set up Bixler's 77- yard run with 57.4 seconds left.

Tony Thomas, Bixler, Austin Lewter and Zack Pearcy led the Tiger defense.

Seth Mitchell forced and recovered a fumble in the Tigers' loss to Brewton the previous Saturday.

Tiger Point Mini Mites 35,

Navarre Maroon 0

The Tigers scored on its first three touches and four of its first five to blow out the Maroon Raiders.

Nicky Myers scored on a 58-yard run on the Tigers' first offensive play. Andrew Dorsey's run made it 7-0 with 3:16 left in the first quarter.

Nico Ynostrosa scored on a 53-yard run with 18.4 seconds left in the first quarter. Dustin Rogers'extra point run made it 14-0.

Rogers then scored on a 43-yard run with 7:34 left in the first half. Myers' extra point run made it 21-0.

Rogers' 32-yard run set up a 13-yard touchdown run by Myers. Rogers' extra point run made it 28-0 with 5:55 left in the first half.

Zion Hamilton, who recovered a fumble in the win, scored on a seven yard run with 2:08 left in the game. Tristan Diamond added the extra point.

Ynostrosa recovered two kickoffs, while Trevor Robinson had a sack and Richard Pino had a special teams tackle.

Tiger Point Midgets 18,

Navarre Maroon 6

Seth Rejda's 50-yard touchdown run late in the first quarter helped the Tigers get past the Maroon Raiders.

Mitchell Robbins had a 71-yard touchdown with 4:58 left in the first half, while Xan Sarra added a five-yard touchdown run with 30.1 seconds left in the half.

Felipe Villegas and Patrick Turnipseed had interceptions in the win, while Chad Wise broke up a pass.

The Midgets played their second game in three days as Brewton shut out the Tigers 28-0 - a game that was halted by lightning the previous Saturday.

Gulf Breeze White Mini Mites win

Tyler Dittmer ran for 225 yards and scored five touchdowns to lead the GBSA White Mini Mites to the third consecutive win, beating Navarre Black Saturday in Navarre.

Dittmer also threw a 17-yard pass to Nathan Herrick. The offensive line allowed Dittmer and Steele Chambers to run on the Raiders.

Quarterback J.C. Carroll completed three passs in the win, while Jake Molina, Andrew Houser, Nick Whibbs, Brandon Kilsart, Matthew Hawkins, Ben Zimmer and Jake Weldon led the defense. GBSA recovered three kickoffs in the win.

Navarre Black Mites 14,

Gulf Breeze White 0

Riley Nolan, Adam Colston, Jace Amberson, Parker Baynes and Jordan Wilder-Edwards led the Dolphin defense against Navarre Saturday.

Colston recovered a fumble and returned it for a touchdown, but it was called back due to league rules that don't allow players to advance fumbled punt returns.

The White Mites got a 50-yard touchdown run from Bradley Proctor in a 30-8 loss to Milton Black. Wilder- Edwards led the defense in that game.
