Lake's three TDs lift Rhodes to win

Former Dolphin football standout Tyler Lake (c/o '04) ran for two touchdowns and caught a third as Rhodes College edged Colorado College 30-29 Saturday in Colorado Springs.

Lake had touchdown runs of four and five yards in the first quarter before catching a 15-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter. Lake had seven rushes for 26 yards and caught five passes for 86 yards.

Kaley Morris (c/o '06) scored her first goal of the season in UWF's 4-0 win over Alabama- Huntsville Friday. Morris scored the team's first goal in the fourth minute off a corner kick from fellow GBHS Lady Dolphin Brandi Adams (c/o '03). Both Morris and Adams had assists in UWF's 9-0 thrashing of Delta State Sunday in Cleveland, Miss. The helper was Adams' team-leading 10th of the season, while it was the third for Morris. Adams has 16 points on the season, while Morris has five.

Keith Savage (c/o '03) continues to climb up the UWF alltime scoring list with two goals in UWF's 4-1 win over UAH and an assist in a 4-1 win at Delta State.

Lake
Savage scored twice in the first six minutes against UAH, his 10th and 11th of the season, and set up UWF's final goal at Delta State. His 23 career assists moves him into a tie for second on the school's all-time list. He needs only three more to become the school's all-time leader in that category.

Doug Baldwin (c/o '07) moved onto special teams in the Stanford Cardinal's 38-36 loss against Texas Christian University.

Baldwin returned five kicks for 108 yards Saturday - his 22-yard kickoff return set up a touchdown that gave Stanford a 21-14 lead late in the second quarter, while his 23-yard return midway through the fourth quarter set up a field goal that put the Cardinal up 34-31.

Morgan Tibbs (c/o '07) competed in the first ever swim meet for Florida Gulf Coast University Saturday. FGCU lost to the University of Miami 156-84. Tibbs was seventh in the 1000 yard freestyle (11:26.08) and was fifth in the 200 yard butterfly (2:24.02).

Andy Atzhorn (c/o '06) took second in two events and was fourth and fifth in two others for the University of South Carolina Saturday in a 204.5-94.5 loss to LSU.

Morris
Atzhorn was second leg on USC's second place finishing 400 yard medley relay team (3:29.70) and was also second in the 100 yard breaststroke (59.94). He was also fourth in the 200 yard individual medley (1:56.24) and was fifth in the 200 yard breaststroke (2:13.26).

Jessie Carr (c/o '06) helped the FSU women's swim team beat Clemson (195- 105), Georgia Tech (203-95) and Alabama (203-97) in a quad meet Saturday in Atlanta.

Carr was the opening leg of FSU's fourth place 400 yard freestyle relay (3:31.81) and was seventh in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:08.40) and 11th in the 100 yard freestyle (54.00).

Jimmy Holway (c/o '05) helped the FSU men to wins over Georgia Tech (166-134) and Alabama (190-108). Clemson edged the Seminoles 151-43.

Holway was the opening leg of FSU's third place finishing 400 yard freestyle relay (3:07.11). He was also fifth in the 200 yard freestyle (1:43.91), ninth in the 50 yard freestyle (21.57) and 10th in the 100 yard freestyle (47.88).

Savage
Corie Skislak (c/o '04) had five blocks for Mount Olive in a four-game win over Converse College Friday and had three in a five-game loss at Anderson College Saturday.

Jamie Hayes (c/o '06) had 21 assists and eight digs for St. Andrews Presbyterian College in a 3-0 loss at High Point College Oct. 9.

Chelsey Adams (c/o '05) had a kill for Nicholls State in a 3-0 loss to Lamar University Friday.

Carroll Papajohn (c/o '06) had a catch for nine yards in Dartmouth's 41- 15 loss at Holy Cross Saturday.

Zach Brothers (c/o '06) had a solo tackle in Huntingdon College's 30-12 win over Faulkner University Saturday.
