Boys cross country second, girls third at Milton Blackcat Invitational

The Gulf Breeze boys took second and the girls third at the 11-team Milton Blackcat Invitational Saturday.
The boys finished with 51 points, second only to Washington (21). Jay was third (116), followed by Catholic (219) and Escambia (237).
Will Thomas was fifth overall for the Dolphins (17:32), followed by Mark Washburn (sixth - 17:47), Dylan Lee (12th - 17:56), Aber Wilson (13th - 18:00) and Tommy Gibble (15th - 18:06). Davis Thomas (18:38), Andy Eskridge (18:40) and Kurt Mason (18:55) also ran for the Dolphins.
The Lady Dolphins finished third (74), behind only Crestview (69) and Rocky Bayou (72).
Emily Tryon was the top junior finisher with a time of 20:36, good for second overall. Rebecca Smith was 10th overall and fifth among juniors with a time 22:11, while Lauren Musick was fourth among seniors and 18th overall with a time of 23:04.
Katie Aldridge was fourth among freshman and 19th overall with a time of 23:05, while Briana Santiago was fifth among sophomores and 25th overall with a time of 23:25. Meghan Kirby (42nd - 24:51), Sara Kelly (50th - 25:12) and Rebecca Violette (62nd - 26:01) also competed for the Lady Dolphins.
