Lady Dolphins win district golf title for fifth consecutive year
Ryals shot a 76 - including an even par 36 on the back nine - to lead Gulf Breeze, who finished with a team score of 328. "It was real tough out there," said girls assistant coach Jimmy Sanders. "The course was very windy. The girls shooting 328 is an excellent 18-hole score. They shot better than everyone except for Catholic's boys." The Crusaders won the both title with a 322, followed by the Dolphins with a 338. West Florida shot a 367 to qualify for Tuesday's Region 1-A meet in Tallahassee. Catholic's girls were second with a 371, followed by West Florida with a 337. Kristen Dorsey, who verbally commited last week to play golf at Kansas State, shot a 78. Sara Hicks shot an 83, followed by Courtney Trevino (91) and Angela Whidby (99).
