Breast cancer seminar today at The Club

Sacred Heart Hospital's Senior Service's program will present a free seminar on advances in breast cancer treatment on Thursday, Oct. 18, from 12 to 1 p.m. in the Rehabilitation Center at The Club in Gulf Breeze.

Sacred Heart Senior Spirit is a free program for persons 55 and older. Benefits include free screenings, seminars, special inpatient benefits such as a free daily guest meal ticket, a monthly calendar of events detailing all Senior Spirit events, and a quarterly newsletter containing health and event information.

Walk on the wild side for diabetes

Step Out To Fight Diabetes- Walk on the Wild Side will take place Saturday, Oct. 20, at The Zoo-Northwest Florida in Gulf Breeze. The event is expected to raise $100,000 for diabetes research, education, and advocacy.

Red Cross seeks volunteers

Naval Hospital Pensacola is recruiting additional volunteers to serve weekdays, in both the morning and afternoon shifts, with its Red Cross organization.
