BY JASON THOMPSON Gulf Breeze News jason@gulfbreezenews.com

Jason Thompson/Gulf Breeze News Nicholas Myers runs in the extra point for the TP Mini Mites.
Brewton scored a three-yard touchdown on fourth and goal to defeat Tiger Point 8-7 Saturday at Tiger Point Park.

The score came with some controversy - video evidence showed the visiting Tigers scoring on their fifth play after

first and goal run was called back on a penalty.

Brewton scored a safety late in the first quarter before Nicky Myers, after making a tackle on fourth down to give the Tigers the ball, scored on a 79-yard run on the very next play.

Andrew Dorsey recovered two fumbles, while Tristan Diamond and Nico Ynostrosa had one each.

Brewton Mites 14,

Tiger Point 0

A Tiger Point turnover on a rainy football allowed Brewton to add a third quarter score to put away a win.

Austin Lewter forced two Brewton fumbles, while Nathaniel Arner, Tom Bixler, Zach Pearcy, Tony Thomas, Jeffrey Tonti and Travis Parkins all recovered fumbles.

The midgets' game was postponed due to lightning late in the first quarter with Brewton leading 7-0
