New 'puter sayings
On the radio last week, me and 'Lishous had a session on "sayings"! Her upbringing in the state of Maine was a lot different than mine in Mississippi and we grew up with different "sayings". It was funny. Our new computer language has given us a few new sayings as well. Here are a few for you to ponder on. I'm "puter" perfect and love the new language, just as long as we don't let it into our schools and let it corrupt our easy to understand English language. Anywhere you hang your @ is home! You can't teach a new mouse old clicks! The modem is the message. Num lock is not a disease! I don't ever get back Home when I brose! I slept like a blog! Huh? Too many clicks spoil the browse. Give a man (or for that matter anyone) a fish and you feed him for a day; teach him to use The Net and he won't bother you for weeks. I know this from personal experience!
