St. Ann prepares for a busy October

St. Ann Catholic Church has a full month lined up this October.

On Mondays, the prayer group Community of Praise meets in the Chapel at 7 p.m., followed by refreshments in the parish hall. On Monday, Oct. 8, there will be a mass with prayers for healing at 7 p.m. On Monday, Oct. 15, Community of Praise combines with the youth for XLT ("exalt"), an evening of praise, worship and adoration of Our Savior. It's a high-energy evening for all ages.

On Monday afternoons, the all high school teens are invited to "Scripture and a Slice", Bible study with pizza, from 6 to 8 p.m.

St Francis hosts Blessing of the Animals

St. Francis of Assisi, located at 1 St. Francis Drive in Gulf Breeze will hold its annual St Francis Day Festival on Oct 6, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The main event will be the annual Blessing of the Animals and Holy Eucharist in the St. Clare Chapel and Garden, which begins 9:30 am. The Parishioners of St. Francis of Assisi honor their patron Saint, St Francis of Assisi, every October on the Saturday closest to the Saints Feast Day.

The events will begin at 10:30 a.m. There will be photos with pets and children's entertainment with games, face painting and more. Hot Dogs, sides and a beverage will be available for $2 per person. The annual fish-fry with sides, beverage and a dessert is an eat-in or take-out from 11a.m. to p.m. for $8 per person. You can choose to dine in the Parish Hall or take your food home to eat.
