AARP Driver Safety Classes

The American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) Driver Safety class is for people who are 50 and over. Insurance companies give a discount on auto insurance for people over 55 who have taken the course. The course is designed to help one understand the effects of aging on driving and to provide strategies to help compensate for those effects. The next two classes will be taught at the Santa Rosa Recreation Center on Shoreline Drive in Gulf Breeze from 8:30a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 24 and 25, and Nov. 28 and 29. The cost of the course is $10. You do not have to be a member of AARP to participate in the class. Call the Council on Aging at 850-432- 1475 to register.
