Blessing of the pets at St Francis

Mark your calendar for Oct. 6. St. Francis of Assisi, located at 1 St. Francis Drive in Gulf Breeze, will hold its annual St Francis Day Festival. The main event will be the annual blessing of the animals and Holy Eucharist in the St. Clare Chapel and Garden which begins 9:30 am. Special events will begin at 10:30 a.m. This year there will be photos with pets by Herb and Ann Woll in charge and children's entertainment with games, face painting and the moon walk by Jane Ellis and Joy McLaurine.

The annual fish-fry with sides, beverage and a dessert is an eat-in or take-out from 11 to 1 p.m. is only $8 per person. You can choose to dine in the Parish Hall or take your food home to eat. Hot dogs, sides and a beverage will be available for $2 per person with Jodi Kenworthy and the Episcopal youth.

Both Episcopalians and non-Episcopalians are invited to Celebrate St. Francis Day with Fun and Fellowship. Tickets are on sale now. Buy tickets for the fish Fry in advance by contacting Otto and Libby Prochaska at 850- 932-2861.
