Zoo is topic of upcoming forum at PJC

A few weeks ago, the news became public that the Zoo of Northwest Florida was facing a financial crisis, caused in part by Hurricane Ivan.

Since then, many local residents stepped up to help raise the $1 million needed toward the $3 million Zoo staff says it needs to become financially stable. Others want more information before they make a commitment to helping the zoo. The Zoo of Northwest Florida is located east of Gulf Breeze.

The Gulf Breeze Chamber is hosting a Community Forum on Wednesday, October 10 at PJC's Hagler Auditorium from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Hagler Auditorium is located near the Registration Building on North Ninth Avenue. Parking is accessible from Underwood Avenue between buildings 5 (Student Center) and 2 (Registration Building). Hagler Auditorium is Building 2A. Directional signs will be posted.
