Sen. Craig ain't no Bubba

I have to say something about Sen. Larry Craig from Idaho and his recent stupidity. Just can't let this one go by.

What an IGMO! I understand several prominent Senators are asking for him to resign and a couple of them are asking for his phone number! What a mess this is.

He is also being accused of such acts in a train station recently. It makes me want to swear off public transportation all together. Bill Clinton said today that he is sure he is gay, but that he probably never inhaled. President Bush has not commented, because he doesn't understand how shoes rubbing together in the bathroom between two men is wrong. In Texas they wear big boots and do that all the time!

No one is guilty here, it seems. The police set up an "entrapment" sting, the Senator only has a "wide stance" when he is in a bathroom stall, and Craig pled guilty and then tried to say, "he just wanted it to go away." If you are stupid enough to plead guilty to anything that you feel you are not guilty of, then you are too stupid to be a U.S. Senator. Stupid is stupid and we don't want it to mean anything else. I hate stupid and know it is contagious.

Where are we going in this world? How long do we have to look at stupid before we identify it? How long do we keep electing leaders that do not know the difference between moral and stupid? How long do we have to put up with it before we begin to elect people that we KNOW are good moral leaders that know where the heart beat of America is on these issues. I hear people say Mitt Romney can't get elected because he's a Mormon, Hillary is a mean person and her lifestyle is in question, Fred Thompson from Law and Order says he can solve the Iraq war by the end of the first episode, Rudy is ugly, John McCain is called Senator Insane in Washington D.C., George W. looks like Alfred E. Newman, and Obama smokes. Hey y'all, they look like us! But, how many of them are STUPID? It's hard to tell just by looking at them.

Leadership, I fear, is leaving us today because we have forgotten what it looks like. Leadership is a person that is not afraid to tell us how they live, both private and public and not be ashamed of it. It is not being afraid to sell the family parrot to the town gossip! It is living in a transparent world and being comfortable. We will forgive a man or woman for past mistakes, current blunders and screw ups, but we don't want to be surprised later on after we have gained trust in them. Leadership is "coming clean" right up front, then running for office with no secrets, telling us what you believe in and then proving it. We are dying for a person to run for our highest office that we know won't sink to the depths of just being stupid. Whatever the truth about Sen. Larry Craig is, it is a fact that he is stupid and "stupid is as stupid does." He has to go, not because he may or may not be gay or the fact that he pled guilty to sleaze and filth, but because he is just STUPID! We don't want STUPID in the Senate. We don't want it in schools, the law, or even in our homes, but we must get to the point that we rub it out when we see it manifested out right in broad daylight. God save us and help us get there.

Just thought you'd like to know...
