Youth music rally in Navarre

A youth rally is planned for Sept. 15 at the Navarre HIgh School football field. Entertainment lined up for the evening includes the Calvary Chapel youth band, Harbor of Love Assembly of God youth band, Tha Preachaz Son from New Life Deliverance Temple Church, "I Can Dance" School of Praise and Worship hip-hop dancers, and Today's Skate (board riders) from Gulf Breeze.

There will be give-a-ways, concessions, items for purchase, but entrance will be absolutely free.

The event is expected to last from 5 to 10 p.m. and volunteers are still needed. For more information, call Joan Irby at 850- 324-9575.

GBUMC dedicates home

The Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church will dedicate its 18th Habitat for Humanity home Sunday, Sept. 16, 12:45 p.m., at 980 Ambassador Street, Gulf Breeze. The public is invited to celebrate as church members dedicate this home to the glory of God and in honor of all of the volunteers who gave their time, talents, and sweat to complete this project. GBUMC volunteers worked to provide safe, decent and affordable housing for Kristina Thompson and her daughter Alaura. Meet the family, tour the house and see missions pledge at work. Widow and divorce groups to meet

Naomi's Table, a support group for widows, will meet Sunday, Sept. 16, at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall on the Main Campus, located at 75 Fairpoint Drive in Gulf Breeze. Join the group for dinner and table conversation as they reach out with compassion, understanding, hope and healing. The group is celebrating two years of ministry together. Additionally, A Divorce Recovery Workshop begins Wednesday, Sept. 19, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the Main Campus in Room 11. Join them if you are recently separated or divorced, feeling alone and disconnected, or struggling with the pain of divorce. Childcare will be available upon request. Cost of materials is $20. Support group for stay at home moms

Mommy and Me, a support group for stay-at-home moms and young children, will be kicking off the new school year with a meeting at 9 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 28 at Risen Savior Lutheran Church.
