We've found Pensacola's new oasis of relaxation, conversation, and coffee-the Drowsy Poet Coffee Company - located on Brent Lane, one block east of Highway 29, right next door to 123 Fit. The atmosphere of casual, modern elegance is matched only by the wonderful selection of great tasting coffees, teas, espresso~based drinks, frozen blended drinks, smoothies, and Italian sodas. The literaturebased theme was a collaborative effort of owners Bill and Heidi Nadolny, manager Heather Murray, and a few friends and family.

The feeling of coffee with class is defined by a handsome ebony player piano that puts out an eclectic mix of live music, a cozy seating area with leather chairs, round café tables strewn with poetry quotations, and a long service bar with brick, inlaid wood, and beautiful hammered copper. The decor comes to life with a large flat screen TV silently depicting the growing, picking, washing drying, selection, roasting, and brewing that bring these specialty coffees to you.

The menu offers delicious fair trade and organic drip coffees from around the globe; al natural fruit smoothies which you can customize with healthy additions; lattes, mochas, and other espresso drinks prepared by trained baristas who serve it up with plenty of crema and often some gorgeous latte art!

The poetry theme extends to the menu with the drinks cherished by regulars: the Poetchino, a frozen blended drink in a variety of flavors made with whipped cream; a list of signature drinks named after poets like Shakespeare, Milton, and Poe; and the exclusive Keats, a mouth-watering drink from the Amazon. Loaded with antioxidants.
