Choctaw football takes two from Dolphins
Adams scores two touchdowns in freshman loss

The Gulf Breeze Dolphins JV and freshmen football teams kicked of the season against the Choctaw Indians on August 30.

Choctaw ninth grade 33,

Gulf Breeze 14

Eric Adams had 117 rushing yards and touchdowns of 32 yards and eight yards for Gulf Breeze, as well as scoring a two point conversion.

Adams also had one kickoff return to the Dolphins 48 yard line and a 90 yard return to the Choctaw one yard line. John Bayer also had a 23 yard run for the Dolphins.

Bayer had three tackles on defense and Hunter Bradshaw had one tackle for a loss. Blake Cannon intercepted a Choctaw pass for Gulf Breeze in the Dolphins' end zone.

Mario Villegas 63 rushing yards for the Dolphins including a 20 yard run in the first quarter. Nick Schumacher and Colin Brown each had an 11 yard catch.

Ben Lively had 28 passing yards and a 13 yard run. Austin Whidby added 14 rushing yards and Michael Schmitz had a tackle on defense.

The Gulf Breeze junior varsity and freshman play at Pace today. The JV game is at 5:30 p.m., with the freshman at 7 p.m.
