Cannon announces candidacy for Superintendent

Anew candidate has decided to pursue the position of Superintendent of Santa Rosa Schools. Grady H. "Herb" Cannon, current assistant principal at Pace High School, recently announced his decision to run for superintendent. In a prepared statement, Cannon said he has served for 13 years as a teacher and coach, followed by 17 years in administration, including service as a bus coordinator and dean.

According to the same statement, Cannon is active in Florida Association of School Administrators and is the current president of the Santa Rosa County Association of School Administrators. In 2005, Cannon said he was named Santa Rosa County High School Assistant Principal of the Year.
