Operation FALCON ropes in 20 throughout county
FROM STAFF REPORTS Gulf Breeze News news@gulfbreezenews.com

Law enforcement officials from federal, state and local agencies recently completed Operation FALCON, a nationwide effort to bring in fugitives and other alleged law breakers.

The six day sting netted a total of 210 fugitives from Pensacola to Gainesville.

Similar efforts snagged over 10,000 fugitives in 2006, over 1,600 of whom were sex offenders.

This year's operation ended with nearly 70 arrests in Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa Counties combined.

Twenty of those arrests were from Santa Rosa County and three were from the Gulf Breeze Peninsula. All three of those suspects hail from Navarre, according to records provided by the Santa Rosa Sheriff's Office.

Those records showed Robert Allen Barbeau, Jr., 26, was arrested for battery, Kenneth Michael M. Purdom, 18, was arrested for burglary, larceny, destroying evidence and one misdemeanor charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and Patrick Lee Toney, 20, was arrested for violating his probation.
