TP mini mites win two in preseason jamboree
TP Midgets, GBSA Blue Mini Mites, Blue Midgets, Juniors also win Saturday

The Tiger Point Mini Mites finished the preseason with 3-0 record after posting wins over both Cantonment Maroon and Cantonment White.

Nicky Myers scored three touchdowns on runs of 50 yards or more in a 19-6 win over Cantonment Maroon. Andrew Dorsey scored an extra point. Nico Ynostrosa scored on 35-yard run in a 6-0 win over Cantonment White.

Trevor Robinson recovered a fumble in the win over White. Tristan Diamond and Dustin Rogers also played stellar defense for the Tigers.

Xan Sarra's 65-yard touchdown pass from Gray Dorsey was the different in the Tiger Point Midgets' 12-6 win over Cantonment White. Chandler Foxworth scored on 55-yard run seven minutes into the game, a 25-minute running clock. Matthew Kolokouris and others made a stop on the 1- yard line to keep the Cowboys out of the end zone before Cantonment scored on their second series. Zach Middleton made a touchdown-saving tackle on Cantonment's first series.

Cantonment Maroon scored on a 60-yard run with about eight minutes to go in the Tigers' first game. C.J. Nelson led the Tigers' offense against Maroon.

Information on the Tiger Point Mites' two games was unavailable at press time.

The GBSA Blue Midgets got touchdowns from Preston Sellers and Randy Halpin as they defeated Bellview Green 12-0 Saturday at Bellview.

Sellers had 80 yards rushing, while Carson Sharp caught a pass from Landon Cagle. Adam Foley recovered a fumble in the win.

Sellers made a run to the oneyard line, but time expired as the Blue Midgets lost 6-0 to Bellview White 6-0.

The Blue Mini Mites got a pair of touchdowns from George Scifo in a 14-0 win over Bellview Gold. Nolan Remig and Josh Hartley both scored on extra point runs, while Hartley caught a 10-yard pass from Remig. Bellview Green scored on a 95-yard touchdown run on the game's final play to beat GBSA Blue 6-0.

Gulf Breeze got down to the Bellview 5-yard line before turning it over on downs.

Andrew Jurnovoy and Dane Locklin both scored touchdowns in the Juniors' 12-0 win over Bellview.

Mitchell deKozan and Jordan Bennett led the offense downfield on its first series before an interception ended the drive inside the 5-yard line.

A fumble recovery would set up Gulf Breeze's first score, a 9- yard run by Jurnovoy. Kyle McGee's fumble recovery set up Locklin's 8-yard touchdown run.

Patrick Roane recovered a fumble in Gulf Breeze's 15-0 loss to Pensacola.

The White Midgets played Bellview Green to a 0-0 tie before losing to Pensacola 18-0. Kale Jarvis completed a 25-yard pass to David Alverson down to the 5- yard line, but Gulf Breeze would turn the ball over on downs.

Garner Curington recovered a fumble and recorded two sacks. Andy Creech, Matt Ryan and Jack Joyner also contributed on defense.

Michael Hawkins led the offense with several good runs, while Robbie McLin caught a pass from Jarvis. Nick Duggar made a touchdown-saving tackle against Pensacola.

The Blue Mites recorded a 0- 0 tie in one of their games, but lost their other game to Bellview Gold 6-0.

The White Mini Mites lost to the Pensacola Tigers 13-0 and Bellview Green 13-0. Tyler Dittmer had a couple of good runs for Gulf Breeze.

The Mighty Mites lost to Pensacola 13-0 and to Bellview 14-0. Jimmy Diloreto made several unassisted tackles for Gulf Breeze.

Gulf Breeze hosts Pace in eight different games, with the Mighty Mites kicking off action at 8 a.m. The games will be the first on GBSA's new field.

Tiger Point's first ever regular season games will be at Navarre, with the mini mites starting at 8 a.m.
