KATHLEEN H. BILLMEIER

Funeral Mass for Kathleen H. Billmeier, 64, of Port Orange, who passed away at home with her family by her side on Tuesday, August 21, 2007, was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007 at Epiphany Catholic Church with Reverend Paul Kamide officiating. Interment followed at Daytona Memorial Park. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug., 24, 2007 at the Port Orange Chapel of Lohman Funeral Homes. Kathleen was born on June 8, 1943 to the late Milton and Audrey Hyde in Montgomery, Alabama and grew up in Birmingham. She met her husband, Mike, on a blind date in November 1965, and they were married on April 23, 1966. She lived in Gulf Breeze from 1974 to 2006. Kathleen was a homemaker and loved animals, especially her dogs. Of all the things she loved, her greatest passion in life was for her children and grandchildren. Kathleen leaves to cherish her memory of their lives together her loving husband of 41 years, L. Michael Billmeier; son L. Michael Billmeier, Jr., son David W. Billmeier, M.D. and his wife Brooke B. Billmeier; grandson, Alex C. Billmeier and granddaughter, Lauren P. Billmeier. She was preceded in death by her sister, Janice Hyde.
