The smartest card: get it at the library

September is Library Card Sign-up Month, and your Santa Rosa County Library wants to make sure that you and your children are among the twothirds of Americans that carry the smartest card of all - a library card.

The Smartest Card gives you access to books and information on just about any subject you can think of, from food to fundraising, from health to history, from travel to toddlers. Library card holders know that a library card is your ticket to a world of opportunity. With the Smartest Card, you have access to a goldmine of books, magazines, CDs and DVDs, not to mention computers and Internet access. Why buy when you can borrow? It's all free @ your library.

Public libraries today provide something for the whole family. In fact, 44 percent of parents report that they bring their children to the library because it gives them something to do together. Parents can help their children explore new interests, sit back and enjoy a family program or add a cookbook or a best seller for themselves to the stack of books for the kids.

So make sure you and your children have the Smartest Card. Get It. Use it. @ your library. To sign up for a library card, visit or call your local Santa Rosa County Library or visit the library's Web site at http://www.santarosa.fl.gov/libr aries.
