Blue Morning Gallery features jewelry trunk show

"Butterfly necklace" by Monique Webb (above) and "Necklace" by Margret Hildreth will be featured at the jewelry trunk show entitled "Strings" taking place at Blue Morning Gallery Sept. 8.

"Strands," a jewelry trunk show, arrives at Blue Morning Gallery Sept. 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

It is time to spruce up your fall wardrobe with the latest in fall colors and new jewelry styles. The show will feature jewelry with pearls, crystals, hand blown glass, polymer clay designs, Bali silver, chains of silver and gold, and works containing unique imported beads. Individual, handmade beads, some exotic, will be available for your own jewelry making.

Many of these artists are well traveled and have collected unique gems and findings which they have incorporated in their work.

Artists participating are Linda Devins, Donna Freckmann, Margret Hildreth, Glenda Jones, LeLarney Leonard, Marie McFetridge, Mara Viksnins and Monique Webb.

Demonstrations and classes will be given. At noon Jones will demonstrate polymer clay and at 1 p.m. Viksnins will talk about pearls.

On-going functions during the day will include jewelry door prizes donated by the artists, in-gallery modeling, refreshments and talks with the jewelers.

A part of the show will run from Aug. 27 through Oct. 6, Strands is one day only.
