The three artists, Debbie Andress, Mara Viksnins and Pam Wynn have also invited the Wildlife Sanctuary of Northwest Florida for a roving display of wildlife during the reception. 'Evenings' finale tonight Bring your family to the final Evenings in Olde Seville Square summer concert as vocalist Holly Shelton joins Don Snowden's Big Band All-Stars from 7 to 9:15 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23. This concert was originally scheduled for Aug. 2 but was postponed due to unfavorable weather conditions. This concert is sponsored by Dr. Bill Spain Chiropractic Wellness and 1st Choice Home Improvements. With a mix of humor and pizzazz, the six-foot tall dazzling beauty, Holly Shelton, will spellbind the audience with her exquisite voice, southern charm and ditsy humor. Don Snowden, director of the Big Band All- Stars, is a regular performer at Evenings in Olde Seville Square due to his fantastic musical talent. Together with the Big Band All-Stars, they will light up Seville Square with music ranging from the swing era to modern day, covering Glen Miller to Sting. When attending concerts, bring a lawn chair or a blanket for seating. Also, bring your appetite. Located on Alcaniz Street, concession stands offer sandwiches, wraps, hot dogs, sausage, snacks and the "Evening's" famous freshly popped popcorn as well as frozen desserts, soft drinks and bottled water. The Northwest Florida Bloodmobile will also be present from 5- 9 p.m. at every concert on the corner of Alcaniz and Zaragoza Streets offering you the chance to give the gift of life by donating blood. The "Evenings" are free thanks to sponsors and are presented by the Pensacola Heritage Foundation in cooperation with the City of Pensacola and the West Florida Historic Preservation. Old fashioned picnic at Swenson park Residents and homeowners are invited to attend the second annual community picnic at Swenson Park. The picnic will be held Aug. 25 between 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the park located near Circle Drive in Santa Rosa Shores. The picnic will feature free food, family games, a fire truck from the Midway Fire Department and informational items from Think First, and the Santa Rosa County Health Department. Think First will also provide free children's bicycle helmets while supplies last. The Santa Rosa Shores Homeowner's Association, the Santa Rosa Shores Women's Club and Gulf Coast Community Church welcome the community to this family event. Segway documentary comes to GB "10 MPH," a Segway Across America Documentary, is coming to Gulf Breeze Cinema Aug. 25 at 7 p.m. The popular and comical 10 MPH will play theatrically in 22 other cities during the month of August. The highly-acclaimed and award-winning film 10 MPH is returning to the road from which its inspiration came to bring the film back to the heart of America. The film chronicles the story when two aspiring filmmakers ditch soul-sucking cubicle jobs to claim a more fulfilling life and ride a Segway scooter from Seattle to Boston. Filmmakers Josh Caldwell and Hunter Weeks are currently traveling with their film in an unprecedented 23-city theatrical tour from Seattle to Boston and beyond, including major theaters in Seattle, Denver, Chicago, Dallas, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, Boston and Washington DC. The filmmakers are also bringing special engagements to smaller, locales like Gulf Breeze. Director Hunter Weeks will be on hand after the film to answer questions.
