REMSEN ARNOLD CHATTERLEY 1925 - 2007

Remsen Arnold Chatterley, 81, went home to be with the Lord Saturday morning, August 4, 2007, at his home in Gulf Breeze.

After completing his education at the Albany Academy, Remsen enlisted in the Army Air Corps to serve his country. At the end of World War II, he studied at several colleges, including Kent State and Rensselaer Polytechnic institute, then began his professional life.

Remsen spent 25 years with General Electric, working in industrial advertising and sales. After his retirement, he held a position on the Florida Hospital Cost Containment Board, where he was instrumental in effecting policy changes.

Remsen is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Frances Hinman Chatterley; his daughter, Elizabeth Arnold Chatterley Hackett and husband, Kent Wesley Hackett of McAlester, OK; his son, Remsen Ellsworth Chatterley and wife, Lynnette Ann Reynolds Chatterley of Gulf Breeze, FL; his grandson, Joshua Michael Arnold Hackett; and great-grandson, Gabriel Joshua Hackett of Austin, TX; his sisters-in-law, Shirley Anne Hinman Fonda of Saratoga Springs, NY, Sandra Elizabeth Hinman Comins of Glenville, NY; his brother-in-law, Bruce Robert Hinman of Saratoga Springs, NY; and his cat, Katie.

Memorial services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Gulf Breeze.
