GB 6s win two, lose two at Series

The GBSAU6 All Stars went 2- 2 at the recent Dizzy Dean World Series in McDonough, Ga.

Gulf Breeze defeated the Hobgood Heat in their opening round game before losing to the Middle Valley Predators. The Predators would eventually finish fourth in the tournament.

Gulf Breeze then defeated the East Side Hurricanes in the consolation bracket before being eliminated by Sharon Springs Blue.

Additional information on each game was unavailable at press time.

Steele Chambers, Tyler Dittmer, Tyler Gore, Cayson McCurdy, Joseph McPhetridge, Chance Napier, Carter Sheppard, Jonathon Ueberschaer, Jake Weldon and Spencer Wirth.

Coaches are Joe McPhetridge, Paul Snider, Chris Swenson and RickWirth.

"(Swenson) just loves coaching youth sports and is great with the kids," parent Paige Weldon said. "I just think it is really cool that they both put so much time into the team and don't even have a child playing."
