The GBSA U9 All Stars, after getting put into the losers bracket of the Dizzy Dean World Series, won a pair of games before losing for the second time to Fossil Park 8- 6 on July 31. The Wave finished one game away from the overall championship bracket, ending up in a tie for ninth.

Wave 16, Gardendale Grey 4

Blake Fournie and Sam Joyce combined for the win on the mound, while Wade Niles hit a three-run single in a seven-run fourth inning that put the game away for the Wave on July 30.

Julian Gordon went 2-for-3 with a tworun single and a run scored, while Zane Gill went 2-for-2 with an RBI triple in the first inning. He also scored twice.

Adam Colston added an RBI single in a five-run second inning and scored twice. Joyce scored three times, while Bradley Proctor scored twice. Corey Nolan drove in a run with a fielder's choice in the fourth inning.

Wave 13, Rockdale Raptors 4

Colston went 3-for-3 with three RBI singles and three runs scored, while Gill hit a solo homer and scored four times as the Wave beat the Raptors.

Gill went 2-for-3, while Niles added a two-run double in a five-run fifth inning. Proctor scored twice and drove in a run, while Nick Liebig hit a RBI sacrifice fly in the fifth inning. Jace Amberson scored after a bunt single, while Matthew deMahy reached on an error and scored in the fifth.

Fossil Park 8,Wave 6

The Wave left six runners on base, including two in the first and third innings, that would eventually prove to be costly as Fossil Park, who lost to the Wave 14-0 in the Florida state championship game, scored five runs in the final two innings to advance.

With the game tied at 3-3 after four innings, Fossil Park strung together five straight singles to open the fifth. They scored three in that inning, then added two more with two outs in the sixth.

Amberson went 2-for-3 and scored twice, while Gill went 4-for-4 with an RBI single in the third and a two-run, two-out single in the sixth that got the Wave within two.
