Lots of ways to enjoy remaining days of summer on Pensacola Beach

Local schools are starting August 20, but the fun isn't over on Pensacola Beach.

In addition to the Tuesday night musical offering, "Bands on the Beach," which is held at the Gulfside Pavilion beginnig at 7 p.m., now there is the opportunity to take in a free movie each Saturday night at the Gulfside Pavilion, weather permitting.

Also, every Sunday, there is live music offered at the Shell at the Quietwater Boardwalk in a series called "Sundays on the Sound," commencing at 5 p.m.

Nature lovers will get the opportunity to enjoy the offerings at the local National Seashore.

Saturday, Aug. 9, there is a presentation called "Pensacola in the Civil War" at the Naval Live Oaks Visitor Center starting at 10 .m.

Also, Fort Barrancas tours are offered daily at 2 p.m. and Advanced Redoubt Tours are held Saturdays at 11 a.m.
